Steeped in history, the renowned Academy of St. Martin in the Fields is gearing up for a tour of North America this spring under the baton of Music Director and luminary violinist Joshua Bell. Highlights are set to include performances of beloved works including Mendelssohn's enchanting Violin Concerto, the stirring Symphony No. 2 by Schumann, the vibrant overtures of Rossini's Barber of Seville and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, as well as the world premiere of an exciting new commission by American composer Vince Mendoza.
