Good show overall!
You have to hand it to Harry Connick Jr.... there are not many "crooners" these days who will spend a whole evening singing the old standards.... while he doesn't have the voice or style of the legends -- Sinatra, Crosby, Dean or Sammy -- he comes pretty close.. my only gripe is that he jazzed up a few songs -- True Love, Begin The Beguin-- which are better when sung straight... he even could have done them both ways... and talking about what "geniuses" his wife and daughters are was a real bore... he could have been singing! ... What a talented man! And the band and accompanying performers were amazing!
Honestly, I bought my ticket thinking it would be a fun middle-of-the-week outing and
the ticket was cheap ($35). My seat was amazing - 50 feet from the stage in the first
balcony. I left the show extremely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. A must see! I'm
